An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Support Officer.
You will be supporting the Executive Director of the Secretariat and the Assistant Director of Committee & Member Services in providing high level secretarial, administrative and business support services. This will include all the traditional duties such as managing diaries, arranging meetings, taking minutes and responding to a wide range of correspondence and requests for information. You will also act as an important interface between the principals and a range of GLA politicians, GLA managers and staff, senior figures in the GLA Group, local and central government and other key stakeholders.
Providing comprehensive project and budget support is also a requirement of the role. These include assisting with the development and implementation of projects and initiatives, maintenance of programmes and plans for project related work and research.
This is a highly pressurised and dynamic role. To be successful in this fast-paced and demanding environment you will have an excellent track record in a similar challenging high profile role supporting senior management. You will need excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, from dealing with queries from members of the public to handling senior political figures. You will be experienced in managing and coordinating high volumes of work and will be confident in producing written work. You will need to be able to work flexibly as you respond to real time issues.
This role is currently based at City Hall. The Mayor has announced that City Hall will be relocating from More London (London Bridge) to the Crystal Building in the Royal Docks.
