The GLA’s Social Integration team is looking for a driven and experienced project officer, committed to supporting London’s efforts to resettle refugees.
The crisis in Ukraine and conflicts in Afghanistan, Syria and beyond have led to the displacement of millions of people across the World. The Mayor of London is clear that London stands ready to help meet the needs of refugees.
Joining a small and busy team, the postholder will work with partners across central and local government, voluntary and community sector and wider civil society to play a leading role in supporting the co-ordination of resettlement efforts across the city. There is the potential to manage a project officer in the team.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is excellent at building and maintaining relationships, has good planning and project management skills, and has a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges for resettlement in London.
This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
