This is an opportunity to join the Greater London Authority’s Human Resources senior leadership team.
You will be part of a team in transition from the provision of direct services to the GLA a shared services arrangement with transactional HR being delivered by Transport for London and strategic HR in a new people function at the GLA. This role will sit in the new people function and will be the lead officer on the implementation of the recommendations arising from a pay and grading review which is underway.
The Senior Reward Specialist role will support the Assistant Director for Human Resources and Organisational Development and the GLA’s Chief Officer deliver a series of reward programmes. As a Senior Reward Specialist you will have significant experience of working within reward or compensation and benefits. You will be confident in transitioning pay structures and creating practical and innovative ways of issues management including managing pay within the public sector environment.
It is expected the post holder will provide the subject matter expertise to support the Chief Officer in pay negotiations and be able to undertake pay modelling to support this activity. Additionally, the role requires someone who can lead the procurement and implementation of employee benefits platforms and advise and support the implementation of salary sacrifice schemes.
You will also lead the GLA’s pay gap reporting regime and also co-ordinate pay gap reporting across the GLA group organisations. You should be comfortable working at a senior level in a complex political or business organisation and adept at building effective working relationships within and outside of the organisation.
This role will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
